Dwight Gambles - Tulsa King Season 2

Tulsa King Season 2 is right around the corner, and we couldn’t be happier to see Sylvester Stallone return to our small screen.

Season one blew us away, sort of like Stallone’s character, Dwight Manfredi, did to all of his enemies after arriving in Tulsa.

Dwight is a smart dude — and a dangerous one when he wants to be — and Tulsa King Season 2 looks to be as exciting (and amusing) as the first season.

Many of our favorite characters will return with a few new fun additions as well. So, Dwight and his crew will definitely have their hands full.

In season two, Dwight and his crew continue to build up and defend their growing empire in Tulsa, but just as they get their bearings, they realize that they’re not the only ones who want to stake their claim.

If you haven’t yet checked out the show, there’s still time to binge season one, and to help you along, we’ve put together this handy dandy cast and character guide!

Returning Tulsa King Cast Members

Most of the cast members return for season two, so we’ll get to see the same faces carry on the plotlines from season one.

Here’s who’s coming back to Tulsa:

Dwight (The General) Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone)

Is It That Obvious - Tulsa King
(Paramount+)

The iconic Sylvester Stallone returns as the tough but affable Dwight Manfredi, a NYC-based capo in the Invernizzi crime family.

After being released from prison after serving a 25-year sentence for murder, he was banished to Tulsa to set up criminal operations there.

Dwight took the fall for his boss, Pete Invernizzi, in the murder case and thought he would be rewarded for it after he got out. But Dwight’s situation is common in a crime family, so he shouldn’t have been surprised.

His bosses didn’t think he’d do anything but fade into the wind. Tulsa doesn’t seem like the kind of city where a mob guy could thrive.

Dwight Goes In Prepared - Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 9
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

But he did it relatively quickly after arriving in town, much to the surprise of his superiors. He made many friends (and enemies), too, and set himself up with a nice little crew to get his business done.

That doesn’t mean there weren’t any bumps along the way or that his mafia clan back home would be thrilled at Dwight’s success. Quite the contrary.

Dwight’s old foe, Dominick (Chickie) Invernizzi, the boss’s son, is now in charge. Chickie harbors no love for Dwight and wants him out of the way.

And with Invernizzi’s consigliere, Goodie Carangi, jumping ship to join Dwight in Tulsa, it opens the door for a lot more conflict between Dwight and Chickie, adding to any new problems that might come along.

One of these problems is his arrest, which happened at the end of last season.

Whether this becomes an ongoing legal issue will be revealed when Tulsa King Season 2 begins, but rest assured: When cops want to get a mob guy off the street, they’ll do everything in their power to do so, legally or otherwise.

But Dwight is resilient and, as we know, is perfectly capable of fighting his way out of any trouble he finds himself in. Another long stint in jail is the last thing he wants.

Stacy Beale (Andrea Savage)

Andrea Savage as Stacy - Tulsa King
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

Andrea Savage returns as Stacy Beale, a former lover of Dwight’s and an ATF agent who betrayed Dwight at the end of Season 1.

She didn’t know Dwight was recently released from prison mobster when she and Dwight had their one-night stand, but she still harbored affection for him.

Stacy was also keeping Dwight abreast of ongoing investigations.

But all that changed after Stacy was shot up and higher-ups learned her secret.

Even though she survived only because of Dwight, she betrayed him to save her job. But it should have been ingrained in Dwight that a cop is always a cop and kept his distance.

Stacy was the reason Dwight was arrested at the end of last season. So, if she’s willing to give up her friends, criminals or not, there’s no telling what she’s capable of to keep in the good graces of her superiors.

Mitch Keller (Garrett Hedlund)

Mitch Plucks the Strings - Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 9
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

Played by Garrett Hedlund, Mitch is the owner of Bred-2-Buck Saloon in Tulsa.

Dwight visits Bred-2-Buck soon after arriving in town, making quite the scene, considering he saddles up to the bar dressed as a, well, gangster, which catches everyone’s eye.

Mitch is also an ex-con, just the type of guy Dwight is looking for, and he ends up joining Dwight’s crew.

Mitch is an invaluable ally and goes all in with Dwight’s moneymaking schemes, including turning the saloon into a classy new cabaret and casino.

He also has quite a few like-minded friends who he calls upon to Dwight fight the other bad guys in Tulsa.

Tyson Mitchell (Jay Will)

Amused - Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 2
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

Jay Will plays Tyson, a Manfredi crew member and Dwight’s driver.

Tyson was a cab driver who picked up Dwight at the airport after he arrived in Tulsa.

Dwight took a quick liking to the quick-witted Tyson despite his continually calling Dwight a “gangster” before he even knew anything about him.

Dwight hired him almost immediately after meeting him, offering Tyson big money to dump his day job, which Tyson promptly did.

He became the first “official” member of Dwight’s crew and proved throughout Tulsa King Season 1 that he’s tough, dependable, and, most importantly, trustworthy.

Confident - Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 2
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

He wants to be a “made” gangster like Dwight is, but in the world of organized crime, it just doesn’t happen that way.

And even if it were possible, Dwight doesn’t encourage it and repeatedly reminds Tyson of the pitfalls of gangster life.

He wants Tyson to do something positive with his life, which is kind of a contradictory “grooming” of sorts, considering the danger Dwight regularly puts Tyson in.

Still, Tyson is one of Dwight’s closest confidantes and aides.

Bodhi (Martin Starr)

Bodhi Gets a Visitor - Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 6
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

Played by Martin Starr, Bodhi is a former weed shop owner and member of Dwight’s crew.

After arriving in Tulsa, Bodhi’s business was the first one he “pushed in” on. Bodhi wasn’t exactly thrilled at Dwight demanding a portion of his business.

But Dwight proved he’s a man of his word, time and again, particularly when the FBI raided Bodhi’s business.

After the raid, Bodhi shared his own criminal endeavors with Dwight, and Dwight was able to utilize Bodhi in ways he had never imagined.

Bodhi has also proved to be a trustworthy partner of Dwight’s.

When Bodhi was picked up for questioning about Dwight’s activities, Dwight was worried that maybe Bodhi had turned rat.

But Dwight was wrong and is now an invaluable part of Dwight’s team.

Armand (Manny) Truisi (Max Casella)

Armand Flanks Dwight - Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 9
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

Max Casella returns as Manny Truisi. He was a former soldier in the Invernizzi Family. He fled Tulsa after wronging Dwight back in New York and got a job at Margaret Devereaux’s ranch.

After learning that Dwight was in town, and thinking Dwight was there to kill him, he decided to strike first. Manny failed in his attempts to kill Dwight and is lucky Dwight didn’t kill him.

But being the forgiving guy he is, and looking to find quality men to join his crew, he extended an olive branch to Manny.

Manny gladly took on his new assignment.

Margaret Devereaux (Dana Delaney)

Margaret Has a Proposition - Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 7
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

Dana Delaney plays Margaret Devereaux, the owner of a successful horse ranch who comes from a wealthy and established family in Tulsa.

Margaret is strong-willed, intelligent, and not easily intimidated. She becomes involved with Dwight when he boards his horse at her stable, and the two have a playful chemistry that will be explored further in Season 2.

Margaret’s interactions with Dwight are complex and layered. She represents both a potential ally and a formidable adversary — but also a potential love interest.

Delany’s portrayal of Margaret Devereaux is marked by her elegance, sharp wit, and the underlying strength of a woman who is used to wielding power in a world dominated by men.

Charles “Chickie” Invernizzi (Dominick Lombardozzi)

A Brand New Chickie - Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 8
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

Dominick Lombardozzi plays Chickie Invernizzi, the underboss and now de facto boss of the Invernizzi crime family.

Chickie has a bug up his butt about Dwight, mostly because his dad, Pete, the former boss, loved Dwight like a son.

He hates having to live his life as a member of a crime family and dreams of the life he could have had had he not been forced into the mob life just for the fact that he’s the boss’s son.

Well, was.

Unbeknownst to everyone but the audience, Chickie kills his dad towards the end of season one, telling his crime family cohorts that Pete died of a heart attack.

He was hoping that Dwight would fail in Tulsa, but to his dismay, that wasn’t the case.

Now that he’s the boss, he’ll continue with a vengeance to bring Dwight down, especially after his failed attempt to whack Dwight in Tulsa.

Not only did Dwight disrespect him by showing him his power in Tulsa, but also because Chickie’s consigliere, Goodie, jumped ship to join Dwight’s crew.

It’s enough to push any mob boss over the edge.

Tina Manfredi (Tatiana Zappardino)

Dwight's Daughter, Tina - Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 5
(Michael Yarish/Paramount+)

Tatiana Zappardino returns in her role as Dwight’s daughter, Tina.

She reunites with Dwight after being estranged from him while he was serving 25 years in prison.

They share some happy family moments at Margaret’s ranch, where he meets his grandson for the first time.

But when Dwight gets arrested at the end of season one, Tina feels she’s about to live the same nightmare all over again.

Goodie Carangi (Chris Caldovino)

(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

Played by Chris Caldovino, Goodie is a consigliere of the Invernizzi crime family.

He isn’t too fond of the boss’s son, Chickie, and after a tense confrontation with him, he decides to join forces with Dwight in Tulsa.

It’s a pretty big (and risky) move for someone as high up in a mob organization as he is to make, but this move strengthens Dwight’s position not only in the Invernizzi family but also in Tulsa.

New Friends and Foes Coming to Tulsa King Season 2

Setting up shop in a strange new city to build a criminal empire isn’t an easy thing.

While Dwight succeeded in knocking out some of his competition in Tulsa King Season 1, there are always new foes around the corner, and maybe even some friends.

Tulsa King Season 2 will bring Dwight some new challenges in the form of new cast members Neil McDonough and Frank Grillo, which we discuss below.

Carl Thresher (Neal McDonough)

(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

One of the most exciting additions to Tulsa King Season 2 is Neal McDonough, whose television credits include Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Yellowstone, American Horror Story: Double Feature, and most recently, 9-1-1: Lone Star.

McDonough will play Carl Thresher, a Tulsa businessman who isn’t too thrilled with Dwight’s takeover of the city.

We have no indication what type of business Thresher is involved in, but as we’ve seen in Tulsa King Season 1, Dwight has a very persuasive way about him.

But Thresher might not be as easily persuaded as others. This could present a challenge for Dwight that will add an extra layer of tension to Dwight’s quest to remain the reigning criminal king of Tulsa.

Will Thresher be a foe or friend? We’ll have to wait and see!

Bill Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo)

(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

Frank Grillo (Billions, What If…?) will play Bill Bevilaqua, a Kansas City mobster who wants to set up shop in Tulsa.

He could really present the biggest problem for Dwight and his crew.

In the real world of organized crime, there are sometimes “open cities” where mobsters from different crime families can set up shop in the same city to share in profits.

Las Vegas is a perfect example of an “open city” where almost every one of the 26 crime families in the United States invested cash to make more cash.

While we don’t know yet if Tulsa will become an “open city” for the mob in Tulsa King Season 2, it is a possibility.

Dwight Brushes Pilot - Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 7
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

However, I can’t imagine Dwight wanting to share any part of Tulsa with any other mobster. It’s not that big!

But he’s still under the rule of the Invernizzi crime family, so if they say play nice, Dwight will have no choice but to do so unless he wants a full-out war.

There’s also something to be said about Bevilaqua hailing from Kansas City.

In real life, the Kansas City mob was a very violent organized crime family, and they excelled at business infiltration.

It could get very ugly very quickly for Dwight and his crew.

(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)

But that’s not all! We also expect the following returns and an addition to the cast.

Joanne Manfredi – Dwight’s sister, played by Annabelle Sciorra

Vince Antonocci – Played by Vincent Piazza, Vince is Chickie’s top capo.

Jackie Ming – Rich Ting, from Warrior, comes to Tulsa King, but other than standing before a huge lot of marijuana in the photo above, we know little about him other than he’s a quiet but ruthless man with ambitions in Tulsa.

It’s unclear if his ambitions are criminal.

Are you as excited as we are to see Dwight kick some butt (because you know he will) in Tulsa King Season 2?

How do you think things will play out?
